Cabin Days is a series of paintings that travel the Door peninsula in Wisconsin. The series exhibits the region’s natural beauty through changing seasons and settings, but also, by focusing on a singular cabin - outdated by today’s standards -captures exclusively a time gone by. In these isolated settings, the world around changes while some things - the pink wicker furniture, an old wood burning stove, lawn chairs from the 70s, an ancient box of Folgers- create a living history. This series explores these spaces through the filter of human memory.
